Emi Warrenfeltz, professionally known as Pastel Payaso, is a multimedia artist based in South Texas who works in both digital and traditional mediums to bring their vibrant creations to life.
Pastel Payaso finds inspiration in pop culture and enjoys using elements of rich and bright colors in their art. Having originally wanting to become a story board artist and go into animation, a deep love for cartoons heavily impacts the work done by the artist.
The artist most often works in digital art but is skilled in different kinds of painting such as watercolor and acrylic, and also is skilled in drawing, using charcoals, oil pastels, and occasionally markers.
I come from a family of bakers, in fact my great-great grandparents used to own a bakery in Corpus Christi where I am from! Although that talent was not passed down to me, I love of all kinds of pastries and pan dulce, some of of my favorites being Cortadillo and Polverones Rosas.
I am also a big fan of clowns; I have been gifted many clown related knickknacks and I've even dressed as one on several occasions. I think the ability to be a little silly and make people smile is something we should all embrace.
The name came about by combining two things that I love "Pastel" means cake in spanish, and "Payaso" meaning clown: and just like that the Pastel Payaso brand was born! (and if you're childish like me it's a funny bonus getting to sign off on emails as PP)
